Well, maybe the paint color too, for nostalgia’s sake.
After I lost my BMX to an unfortunate frame cracking incident, I came home from school one day to find my dad rattle-canning a bike frame in the parking lot on top of a swatch of newspapers. The color? That reddish-orange primer used to be.
The bike? Well, I have no idea. But the frame was like this and I’ve never forgotten it.
This was in the late 80's and now they seem to be hard to find for cheap. Every once and a while I check eBay to see if anyone has one for a good price that will ship it.
Then realize I’m too old and tall to be farting around on a 20" with a banana seat that’ll probably hurt my taint.

Ah, my first bike had a banana seat that was purple with a sort of fake metal flake sparkle . It was glorious. I left it in our front yard one night and got my first lesson on how horrible people are.

Mine was black. Mostly because it was made of 90% electrical tape.

Bugger the banana. I'd put a big sprung Brooks saddle on that.
